    Seats

Daihatsu hijet seats might be worth looking at. Low squab. Fwd and back + recline. I fitted them, got them covered and added extension bar to the driver seat to extend the seat base as I'm tall I wanted longer seats. Low squab means no issues with head room. Cost me £50, used the runners that...

Hot Engine and Oil light on advice needed

what got me thinking is oil has come on leaps and bounds. Mineral was just the way it was but fully synthetic is really good oil. I always want the best for my dub and better oil is part of it. I read loads of pages , overheating, leaks etc but there's nothing real, you know what it's like...

Hot Engine and Oil light on advice needed

If this helps as its a real can of worms topic but to keep it simple, the 2 numbers for oil are measurements of thickness. __________________________________________________ The closer to 0, the thinner the oil, the higher the number the thicker the oil. Old engines prefer thicker oil and it...

Parts For Sale Lithium battery 105ah

Hi, I am building a different off grid setup so I'm selling my excellent 105ah lithium battery at the end of March. When I started with lithium I had a million questions so I'm posting up early so you can ask and decide if it's right for you. Here's a few answers: Yes you can mix lead acid...

    Indicator issues

Mattys right, theres only certain lamps you can swap with LED, i think another one to avoid changing is the generator/alt lamp. I can't remember why but it might cause issues if you do. You can buy something that goes inline to fool the car its a normal bulb but whether you feel its really...

    Wiring loom advice

Why would you say that assuming he's trying to bait you, quite inflammatory thing to say, not friendly and nothing to do with the post topic. and my earlier post, I was trying to help you, 80amp fuse is not a good route to go but you got narked about that as well. It's all quite hostile...

    Wiring loom advice

The post was a big wall of text but I skimmed through and saw 80a fuse? Which might give you a problem Eg your domestic house fuse is 60 or 70. 80a in a car is bonkers. An 80a fuse will need 90 or 100a wire. Starter cable is normally 70 and you don't fuse bigger than the the cable (never...

    Fogstar Lithium battery

You use a DC to DC charger, i.e not direct from the alternator but direct from your other battery through a DC to DC charger. If you're off grid it's brilliant, charging times are much more efficient.

    Fogstar Lithium battery

I'll update the LB post soon but if you're buying a charger I'd say I recommend getting a 0-15v 500w 'adjustable charger' ( I tried copying the AliExpress link but for some reason it won't) which can be used to balance the cells. The one I got is sort of like a blue loaf of bread shape. The...

If it's of any use/interest I wrote to a 'how to' build a lithium battery and everything that goes with it. Went on a roadtrip to Scotland this year and it was brilliant. Lithium battery build on LB

    Split Charge draining battery

I think the durites are VSR = voltage sensing so after MB is happy then the LB then gets its charge but the voltage is kept stable. I wouldn't be so quick to junk the durite. If the MB was fully charged then the durite wouldn't 'leak' anything to your MB as its already got full charge. Those...

    Split Charge draining battery

I had a similar problem with my setup that under certain circumstances the link between the 2 batteries was being held open. Its a by problem of all the other things you might have installed (it was for me anyway) I can't recall why I had the issue, I've got my head into lithium battery build...

    Leisure electrics part 2.

enter lithium battery, game changer. ! I built a lithium battery, they have really low internal resistance and charge as fast as what you throw at them e.g if you had a 100a alternator you could charge a 100a lb in an hour from zero. It's not as perfect as that but you get the idea. So assume...
