I’ve got a Rusty Lee bed in mine and it’s been there over ten years and isn’t showing any signs of not being comfortable for the foreseeable future.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,thoroughly recommended :)
From memory, it wasn’t a big big deal at all. This is from a very long time ago so please forgive me if it’s jumbled. I remember getting the old ones off was tricky in some places as the rubber had grown into the metal or so it seemed. This was just a case of lots of scraping and if I remember...
I’ve also got an off cut of ply that becomes part of the step or it might go under a fire etc.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,, if only all my plans were just as cunning :)
I use my spare wheel as a step when I’m parked up. Mines got a 165 65 14 tyre on and that fits nicely and tightly into an Ikea bag when it’s in the van.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,liking the raise too. :)
Wonderful. Yes to the fire pit and if you like we can put yours six feet away from mine and maybe more fires and have a much larger circle of peeps around the fire. Even when it’s hot hot hot at Caldicot during the daytime, it still goes off cold into the evening and the night...
Brilliant bud, you and your pals can come and camp in the Earlybay section with our lot. Have you been there before ? I’ll fill you all in before the day to find exactly where we are.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, The more the merrier
So the tape is vertical and inside the steering wheel and just touching the roll on the bottom of the instrument cluster and starting and touching where the second word starts with VERRIEG,,,,,,,,,
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, Sorry it took so long bud. :)
Houston, we have a problem. I've got a bit of a gap too but not really noticed it before, perhaps that’s why my indicators don’t self cancel very often. Plus I’ve got a non standard (homemade) ceiling headliner in mine.
So I’ve put various spirit levels and measuring devices in there to get a...
Just to update this thread and to make everybody totally aware. I’ve taken my envelope and put him down in the garage and now he’s nowhere to be seen. Looks like he’s evaporated into the mists of time or a drawer somewhere.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,it’ll turn up sometime somewhere :)
If it’s any good to you, I’ve
Before you go crazy with the van aesthetics and stance , have you tried driving through a shopping centre so that you can see how it’s looking while rolling? Then you could do any adjustments required on the beam after measuring where you want drop or not at the...
As SparkyWig says that’s as good a place to start the search as any. In less than a minute or so , you could have the screws out and remove the external grill. Then you could open the flaps and look inside but I think you’ll see it before you get that far. You can use a home made made miniature...
Blimey,,, I think I understood about a half of what you’ve just told us but I definitely get the gist of the message. So that’s more of a ‘Why’ newer stuff ain’t got the muscle of the older stuff.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, Makes sense really :)
Not sure why, but I’ve got an unusual feeling that the older reused ones will last forever and three weeks but the newer ones may also survive just by the fact that these old vans just don’t get the caneing that they received as working commercial machines back in the day, whereas now they are...
I do hope he wasn’t under guard by those rather serious looking arachnoids . Glad you’re back too and hopefully on the mend.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,watch out for them spiders from Hampshire ;)
