    You could try coming to Techenders just near Lutterworth. It happens every April and September. I went to the Type 2 Detective Boot Camp, which was good, but learnt far more at T/E and it's free

    If you want to visit Paris in your classic vehicle......

    We cross Paris every year going from Calais to the south west of France and never had any problems, apart from the terrible traffic, terrible even at midnight. We stay on the peripherique and never go into the centre. Never read the Daily Mail

    Aluminium trolley jack

    Yes I have a 2ton trolley jack. When we go to France I keep in in a trunk on the roof rack, otherwise it goes under the bed. Al;ways have to carry some 4x4 wood with it which is a pain but necessary to get the height

    So How much have you spent then?

    About £12k since I bought it for £6500 in 2010. That includes a factory fitted interior and Subaru conversion. Current agreed value is £20k so feel that is more or less ok

    The main tip I would give is to make full use of the aires. These are free campsites and you don't need to book. We always pull onto the toll roads when we are looking for one at the end of the day. (You get aires on A roads but not so many nor as good value. They are every 15 miles or so. Look...
