🧐 Have never seen high indicators at the front and small lights at the back! Guessing that ain’t the way they made them!

    Carburretor Quiz

Spot on. I replaced a dynamo with a bosch alternator but the pump was changed too for that reason. I’ll get that checked first though 👍

    Carburretor Quiz

I did manage to get it started with the magic fuel spray in the air intake a few times! 🧐. So no baloney, will check out the rod and guide stand. Cheers

    Carburretor Quiz

Yeah, the van would run again when cooled down. I’ll try the rod-thinking about it, the issue began after fitting an alternator and new pump! Would that account for the tricky tuning and rough running too? Or seaparate issue-ie the advance?

    Carburretor Quiz

Thanks fellas, appreciate the advice. I’m in St Albans Herts and haven’t managed to find a decent specialist local garage in 10 years and have tried a few who say they have past experience etc. Any recommendations for local to St Albans greatly appreciated. The van stalls after a period of...

    Carburretor Quiz

Thanks Matty and Mike, I’ve tried a refurb on the carb but still same issues. Part of me thinks it’s not the carb 🤔 but going with the garage advice… so Weber then but not sure about the twin set up/cost. What single weber carb would suit and where best to get it? Cheers

    Carburretor Quiz

Hi All, The van is running rough and cutting out of power up hill. Not been able to solve the problem after many trips so took to a local garage-local non specialist but mechanic with experience of air cooled engines. Garage advises a new carb. I have a flea bay bought solex 34-pict 3 on the...

Belly Pans - Are They Necessary?

It does now after I realised it was missing after sniffing around other buses. It did have the holes for fixing a pedal pan though, just a missing pedal pan or shipped to Devon works without one? Cheers

Belly Pans - Are They Necessary?

I have a ‘72 crossover with belly pans, completely covering the entire underside between the jacking points. It was imported by Devon to Sidmouth, as a tin top presumably, for converting to a moonraker with pop top.

I put mine under the large cushion in the boot at the back. Not sure where else it would fit.

    Sweet! 👍

    Front speakers.

Van speakers When we bought our van 20yrs ago it had classic 70s parcel shelf speakers stuck to the roof behind the front seats. They have spotlights in the back pointing to the rear. Works pretty well. They’re still there lol.
