Could just be blocked idle jet… Rhs off carb just below the automatic choke. Can be easily removed on van - just dont short out the alternator! Unscrew and clean with brake or carb cleaner

Idle issues are normally just a blocked idle jet, easy to get to on rhs off carb, make sure you don’t short the battery connection on alternator undoing it. Just blow through with carb or brake cleaner. Unlikely to be the cause of other problems but noticed the vacuum line to dizzy is just a...

Agreed on conduit, I used some black 13a mains cable run inside. The only thing I regret is not putting in two as often want extra ways for Rev counter or oil temp/pressure etc. Just make sure to use grommets to stop metal chafing though cable jacket
