Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

It deffo looks like a VW part so I presume it's from a short period..... The cap containing the diaphragm looks to be pressed on rather than screwed so don't think it's serviceable.. I've ordered the best replacement I can find

Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

It's stamped VW and Peierberg, you can see it if you zoom in on the first pic, but yeah, I can't find any reference to a refurb kit or anyone having stripped one like this.... The single screw dome type looks like they more commonly came with a screw in input any this is push on.... I'll just...

Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

Changed the thread title as I have decided I would like to buy a rebuild kit but and struggling to see how to strip this pump down... It's a single screw to remove the top dome and reveal the internal filter but I can't figure how to get to the diaphragm and other internal workings. I can see...

Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

Ah, nice one.... Kind of been through that procedure with slightly different equipment. No squirty action at all coming out of the pump. If I pop the inlet pipe off the pump I get fuel flowing as the tank fuel level must be higher than the level of the pump so no blockage there. Pretty sure...

Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

I don't know this, I'll do a Google about it, but if there's literally nothing coming out of the back side of the pump after 10 engine cranks will it give me any extra info? Sounds like a techniqueI want to know about anyway though

Fuel pump identification? How to strip?

Pretty sure my fuel pump is not working.... It's got a good supply to it and doesn't output when the engine is turned over... The bus has been sat for a couple of months but ran fine before. Do I buy a decent quality replacement (is there one?) or do I buy a rebuild kit? Doing my research it...

Rock and roll bed 1200 width

Yeah, I've sold my 3 1/4 width westy setup for this reason but I was thinking the 1200 isn't that much more narrow than a 1500 full width and could work with a nice arm rest or shelf either side for USB outlets, light controls etc Just can't seem to find any pictures of one installed...I might...

Rock and roll bed 1200 width

Hi Davidoft, I have seen your name in threads about seatbelts! They were pretty old threads I thought and wasn't sure if you still did them. How much do you sell them for? (PM if you prefer)

Rock and roll bed 1200 width

You think the difference would be that noticable? I also have a feeling it'll be the wife and or kids in the bed and I'll be in the awning on the floor 🤦‍♂️😂

Rock and roll bed 1200 width

Nice.... I see you went for seat belt risers... You think they're essential for a full width bed? That's one reason I think a 1200 bed would be a good idea. I also still have the spare in the same place so I feel like the 1200 width doesn't lose much practically as a bed

Rock and roll bed 1200 width

I'm starting from scratch with my interior and was planning on buying a Rusty Lee rock and roll bed. In order to have the rear seatbelts working well I had a full width in mind but they also offer a 1200 width bed... Anybody got one and able to show me their setup? I'm keen too see if it would...

Here we go... Yellow 71 Cali import

Cheers, the previous owner has done a good bit of work on engine and running gear so these are reasonable. He hasn't done much at all to the exterior, or the inside to be honest which is why I picked the van. I can take my time with the superficial things.
