On the proper bed there's a metal bracket that folds out to hold the pillow up when in use.

Hi, I'll get some pics. The mustard linen is stapled to the underside of the board and has the brown (its actually dark red) finishing strip glued on to hide the staples. It might be glued as well, but I've never needed to find out.

No there's a thin strip cushion that's loose, no idea what it's for.

    68 wiper arms.

They look like 69 on wiper arms as they have a nut bolted to the spindle. 68 only use a grub screw.

They sell the black plastic inserts that hold the pillow up from NLAVW, nor sure about the metal sockets but you can definitely buy the inserts. I had to replace them on mine as the plastic had failed over time and it kept falling down. Mines an early 68 Westfalia that's had the bunk converted...

    Electrical sockets

Make sure you use the right size cable and its properly fused, etc. I've fitted a full system to my 68 Westfalia, so it's a full split charge, EHU system with 230v sockets, its a CBE PC210 system. I haven't bothered with an inverter as I have a 12v system for charging phones, etc whilst we...

site hook up for camping and day to day trickle charging

I've got a CBE PC210 system I've installed in mine, control panel is very small and discrete and the charger is a multi stage charger so correctly conditions the leisure battery. It also charges the main battery as it automatically switches between the two. I've got two 240v sockets with USB's...

Bodywork, tried it, hate it. Leave it to the professionals who know what they are doing. I'll try/do anything mechanical or electrical.

Our two dailies, about as opposite as you can get, lol. An Electric Hyundai Kona, and a 3.7 V6 Petrol Mercedes V350. The Merc sounds great and for a big old bus is pretty quick. 18-20mpg hurts a bit tho.
