Shell 15w40 mineral oil. I usually stock up when Euro Car parts do offers online...£16.99 for 5ltrs, last week. Quantum 15w40 is supposed to be good also.

Engine: 1641, Engle100 cam (SSP's new engine). Dellorto DLRA36 carbs with 115 main, 55 idles, 33p/j, 28mm chokes. Right, my carbs are popping on deceleration, not badly, just now and again. Idle is good and steady, no flat spots on power, no air leaks, no exhaust leaks, timing set correctly...

It looks light some sort of starting aid. Check, clean and remake all connections, especially that small earth to the body. Check the push on connector which goes onto the starter. Make sure it's a good tight fit. I know it's been fitted for a reason but remove it from the system and see what...

I'm not sure if it's dependant on tyres size but I put 30 in the front and 40 in the back.
