Someone has a Danbury pop-top roof and interior for sale.
ebay item:
330237569426
Auction finishes on the 26th of May and the items are in Fife.
Not sure how authentic all the interior is though...
On this occasion I am definately guilty of jumping to a conclusion - I saw the roof and decided it WAS a Danbury!
Do you suppose that the rear has just been replaced with that of an earlier bay, or that the van wasn't registered for a while after being imported? Interesting.
A year or two isn't long to wait really :)
It's great that Spencer is sharing history with you.
As for Morris Travellers, I had one too - well my husband did. It was older than me, the registration had FRT in it so we called it "Farty". It was a sweet car. I can still remember that lovely...
Is that the van for sale in Reading that you're interested in? I saw that one too and drooled
It's local to me as well, don't worry though I won't be buying it
There's also a Danbury on ebay at the moment, item 190218153545, not sure what to make of it. It has an L plate but...
I almost couldn't believe it when I checked the registration on the van being restored, what luck!
I'm excited as well, can't wait to see what happens next.
Look what I found:

It's your van. But were these restoration pictures taken before or after you owned it? I know you said that there was a wheel on the front when you last saw the van. Maybe these people could point you in the direction of the present owner?
I might try phoning the DVLA then  I did write to them, twice, including the official form for my request but they wouldn't help  I also sent them a letter to forward to the current owner - that came back as well!
I've asked on lots of different forums, but no luck. My van...
eileanbreagha, I also am desperately looking for a Danbury - one that used to belong to my late father ( HYY874K  )
I don't recognise the registration that you're looking for, but I will make a note of it and keep an eye open when I am looking for 'my' van.
Can I ask how you managed...
I've signed it. I don't believe in building on green belt land. It's not so much a shortage of houses that we have, as a shortage of affordable houses - building hundreds or even thousands more won't change that.
There's just too many people these days - and that's a worldwide issue. The...
I did try this, but the DVLA sent the form & cheque back to me
I still don't have any idea where the van is and that is not looking likely to change. So before this thread sinks below the horizon, can I make a last plea for people to look out for the van when they go to shows and are...
Anyone tried the car reunited websites? I found two. One didn't seem to have any campers on it  and the other wanted £5 before letting me really have a look at how good/bad it is.
Thats very kind of you, thanks.
Yes, the DVLA could charge for passing on contact details, thats a good idea. There are so many people who want to trace a vehicle that's been part of their life, I'm sure it would be a good little earner for the government.
Yeah it's me again. Despite posting on several forums, I've still not had any useful info about the van.
I have trouble getting my head around the van having 13 owners and yet none of them (well maybe one - but it was all a bit vague) have made themselves known. I'm sure there must...
