Hi guys,

I’m trying to understand how the Devon pop top fixes to the roof of my camper. I have the base and the cap but nothing else at the moment. I had a nose around a very friendly fellas bus at Stanford hall at the weekend and there seems to be a strip of aluminium that holds the base down? Could quite see and wasn’t sure what fixings were used.

I’m also looking for the lifters/arms that connect the cap to the roof of the van. The bellows seem to be fairly easy to come across but not the mechanism itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

This thread I did on the late bay (same devon roof as yours) shows the ali strip that you are on about. It needs holding down with decent size screws.

The second link shows loads more photos of the devon roof and how it is made up, mine has been customised, but the photos may be of use.

I've also seen a few devon roofs/canvases for sale on the late bay recently, (search for iblaze, who is a member on there).

Cheers

Thank you, Paul.

I’ll have a look

Hi there, have recently refurbished and re installed my Devon pop top, so may be able to help with some questions. Mine is a crossover 72, and has the bellows held in place with aluminium strips, but I think on later Devons the strips were plastic. I have some pictures and also used information in https://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/early-devon-concertina-roof-refurb-guide.21401/. I have some photos of mine and could take some pictures of particular bits for you, and of a newly refurbished one that was done by (I think) Proud to Pop if that's any help.
