I'm replacing the rear outrigger on my '68 as well as the handbrake cable tube as they've both seen better days.

Does the tube finish flush with the rear of the outrigger, or does it project through the hole a bit further?

If so, by how much?

Hiya, mines a 1970 UK RHD panel. Mine has got brackets on the torsion tube too. So mine exits the side of the chassis rail, then goes through the out rigger and the end finishes up almost plumb vertically with the rear of the torsion tube within 10mm.

Edit,,,,,,,same both sides.

Ozziedog,,,,,, hope they’re all the same but probably not:)

Thanks Ozziedog, that's a lot further back than mine ever went, looks like they've been cut short ever since we had the van!

I found this online subsiquently which seems to be a pretty good reference for the underside, if anyone spots anything incorrect for a '68 let me know as this is what we're going to use as the reference..

That's a later chassis, '68 buses have longer handbrake cables because the tubes are shorter than later buses.
I'll take some pics of mine when I'm next at the lockup.

Cool thanks. I was assuming there were only two variations, the early's with the extra set of out riggers behind the rear jacking points and the later type were these were omitted, but sounds like there were perhaps a couple more variations...?
