I’m busy at the moment re inventing the wheel, it’s not going toooo well though.03ED76D0-0AA7-46E2-B79E-7F27820F2F89.jpegAny good to anyone for anything before they get down the tip?

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,seemed a great idea at first :)

Yup, Matty 74, thems exactly that. Mrs Ozziedog reckons she can use the space bettererer without them all of a sudden . So once a week she’ll be lost trying to find summat at the back of the cupboard, reckon I might have to take advantage of a favourable situation. :)

Ozziedog,,,,,,tooo wwrrrrrrisky.:)

We have that corner cupboard (without spinny Pac-Man pan holders) … it’s a train wreck 🤣

Best try and pop something up on here. The latest versions of me and the guys camping. Was Joey , Justin, Paul and me in our earlies and a boat load of Brick rat dudes and dudettes and various other wasser pumpsters. Unfortunately I’d left it a bit late with the pictures because we was all ripping our camping apart trying to get it stowed before the monsoon hit us. This was Weobley Castle.

The aim here has been postponed because because because. I’ve got an idea to spray the front and rear bumpers with a black satin paint then follow that line with black sills and black wheels to try and get a ‘Magic Carpet’type of effect. I’ve painted the bumpers in black gloss over zinc paint and have tried to scotch that coat to get a satin coat on top but I’m having issues with the paint pickling when I get the silk on. Just chucked the rear bumper on still glossed just for this camping trip so that nobody lost half of their shin skin to my stainless vintage speed ZZZoorrrst, it’ll come off again as I sort it out. The pickleing seems to be the last bit of the spray can spits and blobs and that seems to be where the pickle comes in to it.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,let’s hope.

These are the last 2 pictures I took Ozzie.
Great weekend with the campfire!

Had a bit of a brake issue recently and I’ve uncovered a nest of things causing a bit of an issue as in no brakes. Gaz reminded me recently that I had a drip or damp mark on the hood of one of my brake light switches. Then within a day or so my brakes failed completely during a jaunt to Tuckers grave. I ordered a front brake rebuild kit from heritage which includes new shoes and new cylinders and springs plus rigid pipes and flexis as well , new adjusters and star pointy things plus new wheel bearings. I also tried to get some ATE switches but ended up with Mahl and run with that. I needed the pipe reducer too. Started draining everything and it was all going swimmingly until the second brake light switch came out, it came out well tooo easily so easily in fact that a chunk of master cylinder came with it  I’ve now tried ordering a new master cylinder and it’s out if stock in several places but tracked one in the end. So that’s ordered and let’s try and get this back in one piece and rolling and I’ll do the bearings and shoes and pipes in the down season.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,This is supposed to be a fun hobby innit !:)

I’m thinking, there’s a boat load of things I can crack on with while I’m waiting for this master cylinder to turn up. I know I’m still not wired up properly for the horn and while it’s up on stands at the front. There’s also a bit of surface rust that could do with a bit of a clean up all around in that area. Might even be a bit easier with the master cylinder out of the way to get in and give a nice light rub down and clean up then a coat of black hammerite. Which reminds me I haven’t seen any in Lidl for a long time. Get a bit more of it ready to pop that pedal pan on.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,if it ain’t raining it’s pissing down :)

I'd remove what rust you can, treat it with your preferred rust treatment stuff, then use waxoyl or similar stuff. I personally don't rate hammerite for rust treatment or prevention. Just my thoughts. 🙄Good luck with the master cylinder, do you think the brake light switches had been overtightened to damage / crack the m/c ? 🤔

I did, and that’s what this was about originally. I ended up taking the roof panel completely off and popping another on. I’m a bit confused with the master cylinder thing. I’m not still a hundred percent sure when it was broken. Was this what caused the pop on the brakes, or was this where the drip / dampness around the switch was coming from so been like it for quite a while? The switches I’m thinking could be original if ATE were original fitments on 70s panels . I knows you meant the hammerite under the pedal pan bud :) I’ve binned that idea as there’s still an absolute boat load of cavity wax or wax oil type stuff in a lot of places in there and cleaning up that lot to accept paint could be my new life’s mission that would take for ever and a fortnight. I’ll just tickle the rusted bits, while I can get to them then dose that section with some more oily based stuff. Im thinking along the same lines as you Gaz, plus I doubt you’d ever get paint to stick nicely in there.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,still no M.C. ,,,,,,,,, can’t stop this ! Yo :)

Hiya, got back late last night from a week in Lytham St Annes with Gwen + 3 dogs 🙄 I think your right to change the m/c, if in doubt etc. Have you got a servo?.
Who have you ordered the m/c from?.
