Hi
I'm after a stereo facia or a complete stereo to suit my padded dash. The stereo I have is a vintage one but it has a facia with square corners and I'm informed the US padded dash models have more rounded corners.
Thanks

Let’s see a picture then . I might have an original but it’s AM only as they were in 1970. There ain’t too much on AM / medium wave nowadays. That’s why I eventually hacked my hole a bit bigger and popped in a less than twenty quid eBay cheapso special.

Ozziedog',,,,,,,,,,, unless you likes talk sports :)

Best Image I can find is below, the padded dash radios from US buses have rounded corners but the UK bus radio plates have square corners.

You may find that the classic style radios will fit eg Custom Autosounds but they are fairly expensive. If you don’t mind fitting a more modern radio at half the price 😂 then you might have to cut the aperture by a few millimetres to fit the metal box cassette thingy that the radio fits into.

That’s what I did.
Accepts single DIN units now.

Most of the 70’s stock VW radios had faceplates with the rounded corners In Canada and the USA . There was someone who swapped a stock faceplate onto one of the modern cheap offshore Bluetooth radios, it came out pretty good and looked stock when it was off. The other option is to get someone with a 3 printer To make you a blank panel with the raised curved corners and modify the faceplate to fit inside
