Hi all

Just reading about someone's windscreen leaking has reminded me that the chrome panel mount aerial I fitted a couple of years ago is pretty useless at keeping the water out! Now I have put up with it as the van lives inside most of the year. But is there an aerial that sits on the front bulge under the windscreen (rather that the one that has two brackets that sit on the flat part of the panel) that actually seals or have you come up with a sealing solution?

Cheers

Hiya Justin, any low modulus sealer / sealant should do it as long as you seal on both sides of the plasticky gasket thing. If you struggle to find anything you could try that ‘ Captain what’s his face’ windscreen sealer as that comes well recommended although I’ve not used it myself. Assemble it with sealant both sides, tighten up nut /s to a good hand tight and sealant starting to squidgy out all round, clean up and leave for forty eight hours or more then tighten a tad more once it’s well gone off.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, are you venturing out and about this year ? :)

Thanks Ozzie

Its a real ball-ache to get to basically so was hoping for an easy answer. Positioning yourself upside on the drivers seat (lhd) is getting more difficult by the year :ROFLMAO: Will give it a go with help from a younger assistant.

Will be doing the usual suspects, Bristol, Camper Jam, Busfest, not sure about DATC depends on holidays..... How about you?
