Hey folks. Looking at my carb. Should the left pipe coming out of the carb be blocked off too ? I put my finger over it and revs drop and then back up Total brain fuzz today. Plus I got a bit of backfire too. What do we think ? Cheers.

Are you running a 009 distributor? If you are that pipe should be blocked off. If your running an SVDA then there should be a pipe running from the distributor to the carb.

Hey @thejinx cheers for the reply. Well i had a brainwave and i looked at old photos of my engine and blew up the pic and it is definately blocked off. It must have popped off when doing something but i have no idea where it is ha. Oh well il have to see what i have and get it covered. Cheers 🤙.
 
Hey folks. Well i had toi block off both the tubes now properly because the right pipe rubber bung completely fell apart and half of it was missing and causing the engine to not run right. No backfires after a run and rev etc and touch wood she's running good. 🙂🤙.
