Hey Ozzie. They are both the same thickness on a leisure battery weirdly. Its no biggy. Il just change them to ones that do fit. Actually its a good job i checked my main bus battery because the positive terminal is broken in half. Ohhh i love electricsIf you Google Halfords Leisure battery, there will be a long stream of images but not that one. There are loads with regular terminals, try and make sure to get the terminals on around the right way too, not quite so important on a leisure but it makes terminal access easier and earthing too. Leisure battery in conventional position under the spare wheel well, it’s neater to have the earth on the left as you view the front of the battery then easier to get at and away from the body, opposite to your regular battery.
I’d take it back and change it.

Just got to wait to see if it works now. There is a clicking when I turn the ignition so it's doing something. One thing I did different though is on the fuse box on the back wheel arch I used velcro with super glue. Dont laugh ha. Did not like to drill any holes anywhere because holes cause rust and that is a no no. Works well too and very easy when I want to add a wire
Hey @Ben72Bay well im thinking well when i can find someone in person to help to set up properly, (ive banned myself from it all ha) im thinking a fridge, a phone, tablet, small vacuum cleaner, maybe a couple of extra lights oh and i got this device too that is a battery pack for if your battery goes dead, you pop it on and it starts. It acts as a charger for phones and tablets too. Thats probably it i think

This is very true @milfredo and they are totally but a clean bus is a happy bus ha. Imagine if you will we are all at a show together some day and i dont know you spill your coffee granules etc over your floor, seats etc. If you brush it will become powder and its a pain. CRX50 will stilllllllll sap your battery, but not quite as much as others.
The older or cheaper the cooling device, usually the more it will sap your,,,,battery .
A leisure battery will help by providing a supply of juice, two batteries will help a bit more etc etc.
Driving around and charging them will help, but you’d have to drive a fair old way to re charge a battery but every drive puts in a bit.
Solar will re charge your battery every single day if you have enough of an array of solar panels but as above, every little bit helps. The sunnier it is, the more they give, but the sunnier it is the more the fridge is in competition with the warmer temperatures.
The ultimate set up at the moment ‘seems’ to be if there’s no other energy available (hook up) or three way. A leisure battery that will let you have about a half of its capacity or two or more regular leisure batteries then there’s the extra expensive super duper leisure battery lithium iron which will let you have a bit more at roughly ten times the price. So the more expensive battery is giving you more juice but taking up less space, or just take loads of batteries if space isn’t an issue.
Your solar array could start at 20 Watts but wouldn’t help much at all. Starting point should be in the one hundred watts area or more then you have the fixed / portable issue / question, mainly because a panel facing the sun will collect a fair bit more, if you can be bothered moving it about.
So three to four days is achievable with a new deep cycle battery fully charged, with a hundred watts plus solar panel, all powering a CRX50 on the proviso that you don’t keep chucking too much warm stuff in the fridge and making it work hard. Some peeps will buy frozen food while touring to help cool the fridge as the frozen food defrosts prior to cooking, not a bad idea for sure.
