There were none in any of these suppliers when I looked. I've ordered some off of ebay now, thank you all.

    Rear light lens seal

Hi, I'm at a loss finding new rear light seals for my 1970. None of the usual suspects seem to stock them. Does anyone know where I can get 2 please? Mine have fallen to bits.

    Ouch, Esso 99 is expensive!

I see pretty much none of the fuel stations are honouring the 5p drop in fuel duty. Some are but then putting up the price by 3p. It's a mess out there at the moment with massive price differences within a few miles. I have a diesel car but with 20p difference it's soon gonna be cheaper driving...

    E10

I've put the Esso expensive stuff in before and the van actually goes better.

It's the alloy corrosion that's a bit worrying but only if you let the vehicle stand a long while, or so I believe. If you have a veteran motorcycle it can also destroy cork gaskets. Not sure what's inside my twin Webbers but they are new. Watch the sales of solid fuel lines come back, maybe

    Prices, has the bubble burst

In a similar vein, I see prices of panel vans (not only VW) are up in price and there's actually a shortage due to less being manufactured in British plants because of Covid and people buying them up to convert them to campers because they won't risk going abroad at the moment and think they can...

    Twin carbs, which ones?

    Link doesn't work I'm afraid :(

    Twin carbs, which ones?

Doesn't that rely on your own linkage being in good/semi good condition though?

    Twin carbs, which ones?

Okay so I pulled the cable though a bit as it's probably the wrong one for the van. Once I did this the height of the pedal was correct but the springs on the carbs weren't shutting off quickly enough so I've put double springs on them and now they return fine. Any more trouble and I'll put a...

    Twin carbs, which ones?

So the carbs are on and running. Had to get a new fuel pump as the old one couldn't supply enough fuel and also had to put a balance pipe on as the settings were spot on but the bus didn't quite run right. The spring on my foot pedal had broken too and the cable from the pedal to the carbs is...

Ethanol proof and ethanol resistant fuel hose

Thanks that's what I wanted to hear. I wish they'd stop messing around with the fuel.

Ethanol proof and ethanol resistant fuel hose

So the VW Aircooled Works fit and forget fuel line is no good then?

    Twin carbs, which ones?

I'm going to go for the Webbers with csp linkage, will I need to to change the mechanical fuel pump to an electric one? or is a just a case of suck it and see.

    Twin carbs, which ones?

Thanks everyone you've given a lot to think about. I will probably go with Eurocarb Webber 34 ICT's. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Hex Linkage set up and the CSP Bellcrank please?

    Twin carbs, which ones?

Hi, looks like I've got manifold problems again with my 1600 SP engine. I now think the only way to go to get round the problem is twin carbs. I know nothing about twin carbs other that they are a bitch to set up properly so would like some advice on which ones to buy and ease of setting up etc...
