    Tonight i managed to make up the corner brace that go's between the end of the chassis and rear valance, the original was a little crusty! next job is to do the other side and fit a new rear valance..............

    managed a day on the camper today and got the centre panel welded in, joggled the top of the panel and spot welded the join and also spot welded the sill, the sides were punched and plug welded, went it quite well,

    managed to escape the christmas chaos today and got the rear arch panel trimmed down and clamped in place. in the end i joggled the top and pulled the joint tight with sheet metal screws, took a bit of fiddling but fits ok, just got to weld it in now!

    OK checked the engine and it is a universal case (has the tapped holes for rear support) it isn't mexican but made in Brazil ! its a 1600 twin port with brazilian carb and its done no miles! will it be good to power our Bay? cheers

    thanks for the reply, i've fitted it and it fits really well, it also has captive nuts for the belly pan to be bolted, i think i'll do the rear as well as it needs a repair and i'm pleased with the front, starting to look new again under there :D
