There should be a tab sticking out with a spade connector on it at the bottom of the warm air heater controls behind the dash. As you push the lever to the bottom it makes contact and completes the circuit. Crude but it works... I removed it and changed it to a switch... - my wiring was...

I'll have the aircon unit.... and under dash blower (as i think this is definately needed for aircon to work correctly) can you send me some pikkies. I presume it will go in a '79 bay ? you can get me at richard.elmer at gmail.com as i'm not on earlybay very regularly....
