    Thermostat puzzling me!!!!!

    Hey guys, Got the engine out of my lovely 71 project. I have the thermostat attached to the bottom of the block with the rod out of it but when I look at my Haynes manual it says that this has to be attached to a "flap" in the fan shroud. This is all missing and I don't know what bits to look...

    Just been looking at insurance for my lovely rust bucket and got a bit stumped. They asked me how much she is worth. When I said unreplaceable they laughed! How would I get a true value and not some stupid off the top of my head £2 million figure my heart screams out?

    The one that I have seen on eBay at the moment has been reviewed by members on on the forums and a lot have said that it is designed more for beetles than campers and requires a lot of strengthening.
