As per the title. Just rebuilt the sink unit but I could do with a sink, filler tube/cap and the flip over lid.
Either pm or give me a ring 07910 207618.
Thanks
Tried ringing Frank but no-one ever picks up the phone and I don't seem to be able to leave a message. :(
Unit is still sat in my conservatory as I just cant bring myself to drill holes in a perfect side panel. Just how 'rare' is a RHD sink unit or am I just worrying about it for nothing...
All interior panels are a full TMI set and a guy in Sheffield trimmed the seats (except the buddy seat which was done by the Mother in Law).
Don't need the bulkhead ones though as the buddy seat and the sink unit go there, so they're spare if you want them!
Thanks for the kind comments. It will be the first time in 12 yrs that I haven't had an air-cooled bus on the drive :(
Maybe consider an early sgl/dbl cab pick up though
I just can't help feeling it wont be the same without an aircooled bus.
Finally, after nearly 5 years of putting it together, 2 resprays, a cracked engine and a new gearbox its finally sorted. :D
Probably going to sell it though as the family is expanding and I've just got a Karmann Gipsy!
I'm a bit confused. Just rebuilding the sink/coolbox unit to fit in my LHD 68.
The old one is scrap and had the spice rack mounted facing the sliding door as per normal. But the one I've got to rebuild has obviously had the spice rack mounted on the other side, as though it was mounted into the...
Mine does that too, most recently yesterday at the bottom of a duel carriageway in the rain when it stalled and wouldn't restart due to regulator being knackered and flattening the battery!
When you have the red light on try tapping the regulator with a hammer (gently) if the light...
Has anyone got a decent 1600cc engine?
Would prefer a 'turnkey' motor but I don't mind having to do a bit of work and have a few bits floating around anyway.
If anyone wants to give me a ring my number is; 07910 207618.
Thanks
Thats absolutely great!
Thank you for your help in sorting out what I've got, s'pose it doesn't matter really but its just nice to know :D
Just need to get some pic's posted up now of its first proper drive on Saturday when it takes the other half to the church to get married
Right finally got round to sorting the numbers on the plate behind the drivers seat (LHD) which are as follows;
04 3
518 525
21 426 D67 507 517
UA2310 523907 8111374
just off to have a look on the samba.com
If the normal J.K. belts aren't long enough, they sell extender lengths to clip to the original belt to make sure it will fit through/round a child seat.
I had this headache with my T25 Multivan and I'm about ready to do the same to the Bay westy now that its nearly finished
OK, I know the bus is a 68 Westy, has all the correct 68 bits but can someone give me a clue what the numbers are stamped onto the small i.d. plate (the one below the green californian plate on the offside wheelarch).
I can just about make out 'manufactured by Westfaila werke k.g.' but the rest...
I've just done mine. Sanded the ply with wet&dry then used varnish from Wickes. It is a beech satin finish rather than gloss and its finished with a near identical colour to the original. I used the piece covering the tailgate hinges as a guide, as the main headliner panel in the back overlaps...
Sorry to everyone who has posted, I've not kept my eye on the thread, as I've been flat out at work and putting the westy back together.
I would be interested in the double seat, even though its not the correct one for my van, could you pm me some pics and a price please?
Jason I spoke to you...
Hi all
I need a buddy seat for a westy SO60. Mine has big holes in it and is missing the seat cushions. I also need the armrest that attaches to the rock&roll bed as that has gone missing too.
I'd appreciate any help as I'm trying to get the bus finished for my wedding on the 21st Feb!
My...
