Thanks for the reply Paul. They were stiff, so it just needs running then. Can I do anything to reduce the weaving left and right at speed (well VW speed of 30 plus!) or is it just a case of gently does it for the first 500 miles or so? Regards. Alasdair

I'm guessing that the bumper came from the US so could the gap be consistent with US plates and brackets? I want to fit a standard UK plate. Guess I might have to fabricate something up.

Spoke to Jim and he recommends 15x15 timber with epoxy to fit it. So I guess that's referring to the width and height/diameter of 15mm? Length of 174 to 180cm sounds about right.
