Depending on your year you will need to remove the vent levers or just the vent lever knobs. If you need to remove the complete lever make sure you note the order of the lever shaft spacers.

Time to start on the interior. A lot of the orginal westfalia wood was rotted away and there was nothing backing the laminate and the mold was 5-10mm thick. Lots of cleaning, sanding and clear coating. making a new bed
