Parts Wanted Early Westfalia buddy seat wanted

Thanks. Yes, I know but the likelihood of finding one is small. I'm going to modify it if can get one, or if anybody can verify the dimensions compared to these plans?

Parts Wanted Early Westfalia buddy seat wanted

Hello all, I'm after a buddy seat similar to the pic attached. Not worried about seat cushions if they're missing as I just need the wooden base. Thanks.

Well, that seems to have worked. Sanded and a couple of coats of oil. Hinges, handle and trim to be fitted now. Follow along for the next instalment.

I've got a couple of issues with the veneer, unfortunately it's lifted in a few places. After seeking advice from a joiner friend it appears that dampness has caused the veneer to swell making it lift in places. He did say that he uses a vacuum cabinet in a heated workshop to stop this...

    Lares

Just for your info, that Lares steering coupler comes with the splined steering column connector as well. I bought a couple of these a while back that only cost me £28 delivered. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8859928&cc=1285792&pt=10681&jsn=534

    Fuel lines

Stock fuel line is actually 5.5mm, 6mm just doesn’t clamp fully onto the tank or carb barbs. Like Karlos, I’ve totally replaced all mine with AN-6 ptfe/teflon fuel hose and fittings.

Today was spent butchering some ply, the Westy bed base to be exact. Drop down door marked out. The bacon sandwich was very nice. The router came out for the edge trim slot in the panel and door. I bought some American cherry veneer a while back just for this. Glued and clamped. Next...

I just guessed at 30A without knowing the total load. What’s the wattage of each spotlight?

    Sherbie

Ideally you’ll switch them through a relay. Be interesting to see how you’ll get a 30A feed and a decent ground up to the roof rack though.
