What are the rear hub and stub axle differences?

Assemble it as the early hub but don't fit the outer spacer.

What are the rear hub and stub axle differences?

I didn’t refit drums so wouldn’t know, but I presume the drum snout will need to be machined to get the hub nut on.

What are the rear hub and stub axle differences?

Just swap the stub axles and use your existing bearings.

    Wheel refurb.

Stock tyre size is 185C14, which works out in modern tyres to 185/80/14.

    1967 Neptune Blue Deluxe

Well, that was a frustrating day. Front shift rod fouls the steering idler, so I can't select 2nd gear. So with a bit of heat and a slight bend I thought this would fix it. But no, it now fouls the beam adjuster. So a bit more heat and a couple of adjustments with a ball pein hammer...

    Colour code info

If it's been repainted no-one will know what colour it is. Take it to a local auto paint supplier and get them to use a colour analyser on it.

Sliding door rubs on rear wheel arch

If you extend the U hinge the latches won't function. The only way to stop your sliding door rubbing on the arch is to fit a slimmer door card, or sort the issue of the wrongly fitted arch.

Sliding door rubs on rear wheel arch

The VW parts book only lists 2 part numbers for the U hinge, LHD and RHD. As far as I'm aware they fit all years, 68-79.

    Where does this go??????

Panels vans don't have a front latch on the pillar, it's secured by the latch on the rear of the sliding door. Microbuses, etc, have a front latch as well.

    Fuel leak??

It's your cap gasket that's leaking. That's not a retaining ring, it's the top of the fuel filler neck. If you look at the pic I posted you can see the fuel filler attached to the blue pipe.

    Fuel leak??

Here's another better pic showing the filler neck, breather and the drain tube from the filler flap. I think your spillage is coming from the filler neck, you may need to replace the cap gasket.

    Fuel leak??

That little nozzle to the left of the filler cap is the tank breather, early buses do suffer from fumes as this is open to atmosphere. Later buses have the convoluted pipework that runs up inside the rear corner with loads of rubber joints. The tank must be more than 3/4 full for fuel to spill...
