    No, it only pops the rear out by the length of the U hinge. The front stays the same distance due to the top and bottom rollers being fixed length.

    The U hinge should push the rear of the door out enough to clear the arch. Make sure the mechanism is operating correctly, and check for any wear on the hinge. You can get replacement bushes for the U hinge fairly easily.

    A few more jobs ticked off. Teddy welded an AN-8 bung on the oil filler/breather, so that's now fitted. Number plate light needs replacing, but the repro ones are poor quality and don't fit well, so I found a lens in a box, gave my original one a clean up and reassembled it. Number...

    Unless yours is a panel van conversion it will fit into either of the two middle windows. Screws were around 10-12mm afair.

    They're a standard sealing washer, measure the internal and external diameters and buy them from an online supplier, or a local hardware store.

    You'll just have to keep teasing the thicker cable through from both ends until you clear the obstruction. Where did the original cable snap? Was it about where the blockage is?
