    Ben's 72 Bay

Given it a first clean today and seems to work ok. Got the screen frame out which I’ll clean and then reassemble with mesh. (Thanks @sparkywig !) Ordered seals and correct winder handle. Nice little project to work through on a bank holiday 😁 Not sure where this should be?! Was rattling...

    Ben's 72 Bay

So I think I now understand how it stays in place once installed. Screw through the interior metal work and into the ‘pinched seam’? Although I still don’t quite get the shape of the metal window aperture that enables that to happen. Anyone know the correct size of screw please so I can buy...

Agree - it seems to work well enough not to require a full rebuild. Just going to clean up the glass and ali and then get it fitted!! Are the handles the black disc rotating ones?

Thanks. That makes sense. Odd that this one doesn’t seem to have any holes in it already. Must have been installed previously.

Also don’t appear to have any screw holes around the edges. From what I’ve research I thought these style windows screwed through the frame into the metal work. Is that not the case with all these style?? Are some held in by the seal only?

That sounds good @sparkywig - happy to buy those off you if you’re ok to post to me please? Is that insert to hold the mesh in place?

    Ben's 72 Bay

So how did I do?! Picked this up for £50 on FB Marketplace. Looks to be complete, opening mechanism seems to work well. Presume the handle isn’t correct as that would get snapped off during the first journey! There’s even the frame for the fly screen still in it. My plan is to clean it up and...

So think I might have scored a jalouise window off FB. Collecting this week. Recommendations for seals please? This maybe...

    Vent speakers?

Apparently you still get some fresh air past them as well!

    Vent speakers?

Think their main aim is simply to lift the sound closer to your ears, up from the footwell. Easier and neater than high level tweeters at the top of the A pillar and no need to hide a crossover somewhere!

    Vent speakers?

Just bought some. Arrived. Seemed decent quality. Will fit them soon I hope!!

I usually find if I get the timing right then it's fine but it's felt a lot worse and problematic over the last 18 months...

I'd avoid anything either side of the M4/M5 junctions around Bristol if you can, especially on a Friday afternoon! my recent journeys through there have all been shocking!

    Rock and Roll beds

Hi @Walt Here’s a pic of that bracket installed: Post in thread 'Ben's 72 Bay' https://earlybay.com/threads/bens-72-bay.80276/post-628686 And I think there’s images and maybe a guide for install on the Rusty Lee site. If not I’d give them a call and ask 👍

    Rock and Roll beds

No. Existing is threaded (I think) Need to drill a new hole for bed fixing.

    Rock and Roll beds

Hi @Walt you need a bracket which sorts that problem out - I'll find you a link! Here you go...
