    Yes it was by the previous owner. I've had it 3 years now, first problem with it. Hoping to get some time tomorrow to look at it.

    Thanks both, Might have to try Earlybay1's idea with the sealant or Dowty washer. Tried fibre washer......still leaking. Tried 1 fibre and 1 metal......leaked. tried 2 fibre either side of metal washer..........still leaked.

    Rebuilt fuel pump a few weeks ago, diaphram split, now got a leak from the bolt on top to replace the filter. There is a metal washer between bolt and pump body and there was the remnants of a rubber washer when I took it apart, but nothing in the repair kit to replace! Any ideas where I could...

    New battery tester arrived yesterday. All working as it should be. Apparently they had a batch that were wired the wrong way round, showing empty batteries full and full ones empty! Disgruntled employee maybe??

    Thanks both for the advice. Helpful as always. Problem fixed! Bit of advise the other way now.........I first checked the batteries with my newly purchased Absaar battery tester/charger, showing all was good! Started checking everything. Re-checked Battery with a old fashioned light...

    My worst fear has come to life. Electrical problem, I'm colour blind and have always struggled with electrics! Turned ignition on today......Nothing! No lights on speedo, No click of the starter motor, Nothing. Have checked battery and Leisure battery, both fully charged. Checked Fuses...

    Yes I did Leon. Hour to get there and hour and 10 min to get back (concentrating in the dark) I only got to chat to a couple of people last night. Catch up next time you have a meet, which I gather will be next year now.

    Sorry to jump in on the thread, just checking before heading to busfest tomorow I noticed this cable had come off the oil bath, can't see a way to fix it back on. Should there be a lead weight to help open and close the filter?
