Oh yeah, I had a late bay about 30 years ago and yeah, it only had a small black knob, no lockout, your right it would have taken a bit of a Muppet to shove it in reverse instead of 2nd.

Here's my knob, sometimes I like to hold my hand around it when I'm driving.

So if you've only got a knob, how do you disengage the reverse lock, my knob has a button on the side?

I've got one of those, haven't got round to installing it yet, or buying a diesel heater, LOL, they vent from the small tube on top of filler neck. Which I guess you would attach a fuel line to and vent somewhere (?)

Is the handling just bad in cross winds? If so try pumping them up more, I had similar tyres when I got my bus in 2019 and they had about 32psi in and cross winds were a real problem, after I put like 42 in the handling was better. The solution I have now is van tyres on rear and 4x4 tyres on...
