    112 to 205 adapters

I really want some old style smoothie wheels, but I'm running late bay drums and discs. At the moment I've got 14" late bay steels on. So I'm after some adapters, I know Limebug do them, but their 112-205 are labelled at "drums only". Anyone any recommendations?

    Water on cab floor

Ah yes I've used this stuff too, Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure! I seem to remember it working well on some of the screen leaks, others were better with the sealant.

    Water on cab floor

As a temporary fix you can squeeze some sealant under the windscreen rubber. Just lift it with something at the edge and put the nozzle of what ever sealant you've got under the rubber and move round the window. Did this with mine and it eliminated most of the leaks. The real fix though is to...

    Home made ?

I was thinking of just making one for the passenger side, and maybe a smaller one for driver. Based on what Ozzy said earlier, I was thinking of some sort of rope/mesh that would sag a bit under weight so it contained things when braking, over bumps etc. At the moment I just put things on the...

    What other shows ?

There's Dubtober Fest here in Sunny Cheltenham at the Racecourse 27th-30th July. Never been but it looks like a good laugh. I may go for one night if I've got time. https://www.dubtoberfest.co.uk/

    Dubs At The Castle

Great to see you all again at Dubs, Here's a small selection of photos I took.... I wish I'd taken more, but with the advent of phone cameras I seem to take less and less, I'll get my DSLR out again - that seems to make me take more! Good recommendation from Ozzy.... Early bay line up...

    Engine noise

I would say you need to hear it warmed up and driving. Pulley could be scraping the tin maybe? Although that does sound more like a belt/fan type of noise.

    I’m scared

Echo all said already. The only times I've coasted to a halt is when I've run out of petrol, it's a horrible feeling though coasting to a halt on the motorway, and I'm always very scared of smart motorways. I don't go in the bus if I absolutely have to get there, but having said that, it's not...

    Got my new fire going

New discovery, (for me anyway) some wood burns better than other wood! So at the Air-cooled Campout I took my small bush saw and on Saturday (before the drinking started) I went out into the nearby woodland to find some firewood. I initially just picked up the nearest sticks, checking they were...

    1967 Neptune Blue Deluxe

Hey Sparky, looks great, good progress. Where did you get the sender, I need one and I heard there's loads of junk ones about?

    Daily Drive ?

It may be my old roof!! I sometimes wonder how much I would have had to spend on it to keep it on the road, I think I paid £1700 for it, but when buying I looked at similar age ones that were rust buckets for £800-£1200. Mine had an original interior, but body had been completely restored, new...

    Daily Drive ?

Haha, I vaguely remember opening the door into a tree branch or something, but yeah that would be cool, restored rear, with a barn-find cab. Yeah that was 1993 I think, so bus was 15 years old and had already been restored by the PO. He put it back to its original colour, which was actually all...

    Daily Drive ?

I've had one as a daily, back in 1993, it was a T reg late-bay Devon, standard 1.6. it was the winter driving that eventually made me sell it and get something more modern. Also I got fed up with the lack of performance esp on just about any hill, oh and did someone mention fuel consumption...

    Fuel guage issues

Thanks Mike and Earlybay1, very useful. I like the warnings in the manual - "Caution danger of explosion"! Now I remember why I haven't done it. :)

    Fuel guage issues

Mine packed up about 4 years ago - All the terminals are clean so assume it's the sender. I've had a hatch kit for about 4 years from C&C and keep meaning to cut the required hole in the boot floor to fit a new sender, TBH I'm a bit scared of doing this, so all I do is note down the mileage when...

    Aircooled Campout 30th June - 2nd July 2023 - SAVE THE DATE

I got 2, just put one on my Mini and one on the bus. I can see how you managed to trash one, if it sticks to itself that's it!!
