I also need the 2 retaining springs and the small plastic captive blocks that the adjusting screws/ bolts go in to. Any help much appreciated, It’s for...

    Cv joint bolts sheared

Travelling home on Friday the offside transmission end cv joint came adrift. Needed a recovery back home to my local garage who will look at it on Tuesday. It seems that several/all of the bolts have sheared. The cv joint is not very old, having only done about 10k miles. Assuming I need to...

OLPRO awning, am I being reasonable

Hi Mike, No it wasn’t the walkthrough bit which, as you say you expect to have a few issues with. This was the main part of the roof between the 2 air beams. Granted the rainstorm in Provence was like nothing I had ever experienced. It was during the night and the volume of water must have...

OLPRO awning, am I being reasonable

Thanks Sparky and Clem I do have sympathy for retailers but, if they are are continuing to take deposits for goods which they have previously failed to deliver then.... my sympathy has run out and lots of others will suffer loss.

OLPRO awning, am I being reasonable

Ps Ozzie When I spoke to them in September they said it was the busiest year they had experienced ! So no cash flow problems I would suggest until their shelves were empty!

OLPRO awning, am I being reasonable

Ozzie, Believe me I’ve tried. They were and still are taking deposits, originally for December delivery ( as per their website) and now this is for March. Just in time model for business is fine ....until . As it stands I have paid them and been waiting since October with a promise for March...

OLPRO awning, am I being reasonable

Bought an inflatable awning Olpro Breeze from Olpro August 2019. Had big problems with it whilst on its first trip in France. Roof filled with water and collapsed, one of the doors would not zip etc. E mailed them and put them in picture. On return awning sent back to them. They couldn’t find...

    New wing mirror?

Yes you are right, they do not move, occasionally they may need a slight tweak but nothing like the loose sloppy repro rubbish.

    New wing mirror?

Ps. I had to use a standard s/s nut on the bottom as the rubbish domed one from the original didn’t get enough threads on.

    New wing mirror?

Hi Yes, I have no problem, really good sight range. Travelled 1000’s of miles with them.Far better looking (in my opinion) than the standard rubbish available.

    Carburettor leak

I got the “ fit and forget “ kit from air cooled plus the solenoid cut off. Really impressed however I also got the clips as per Darrens photo. Not impressed at all with the clips which frankly I found flimsy and really difficult to get a proper grip a( in fact many of them sheared as soon as...

    New wing mirror?

I know they are not original style but I got these from Halcyon classic parts. They are truly great quality, no sign of rust after 2 years. Also they sit really neatly on the original door mount so no need to dismantle. Adjusting mechanism and mirror quality superb. Pretty sure they are uk made...

    One sweep wiper button

Thanks for the warning Tofufi. I am pretty sure that I don’t have a relay.Previous posters have used the Revolution Electronics module successfully. What do you think of these? I was hoping initially to simply have a push button but this seems dodgy so now will go with the Revolution module...

    One sweep wiper button

Just seen this on late bay...credits to the poster “Snotty “ on that forum.... Wiring: a diagram I'd previously done for Other Purposes shows the connections to the delay relay. You'll need to find VW relay "99" or "197", either from the scrapper or from fleaBay. There is a Bosch equivalent...

    One sweep wiper button

I’ve just come across this on Late bay forum......credits to the poster “Snotty” there........ Right, here's your next job Mark, while you're twiddling your thumbs ;) In with a delay wipe. Pic attached - ignore my colours. Likely easier as you've done your own wiring. Easy peasy. You'll need...

Thanks Phil an Bluesnailsman Yes I can see your points. I received a further reply from USA today apologising as the sender was not a VW man , he had checked and confirmed ( as has been said) that the module will work. Will be getting one.
