    One sweep wiper button

Thanks Davidoft, That was what I was hoping for. Yes my park function does work. I got a really quick response back from revolution electronics saying that they had never worked on a westy and asking if I had a wiring diagram or if I could do some continuity measurements on the switch as they...

    One sweep wiper button

Yes I will ask.It would be great if you could have both. When you have carried out your little experiment could you post the results ...in simple wiring language 🙄

    One sweep wiper button

Thanks Gagvanman. I’ve checked the eBay site but they have suspended until return on 7th. I’ve just realised I’ve got a spare switch on its own on the left of steering wheel so I will swap the wiper one over. This will save any fumbling around.

    One sweep wiper button

Thanks gas1man, I’ve looked at it and it seems really good and will go for it. Presumably I have to order from USA? Never done that before. The company is on holiday at the moment so will contact them in a week or so.

    One sweep wiper button

That looks great and I’ll check it out. Presumably I still have to fumble about rather than having a nicely located Go to button ?

    One sweep wiper button

Hadn’t thought of that, do you have one and if so is it any good. I’d probably prefer to be in control rather than being ruled by a third party, the Mrs is enough! 😜

    One sweep wiper button

I find it a bit of a pain (especially in the dark) fumbling around for the wiper switch to activate it for one sweep, then having to keep my hand on the switch to turn it off. I am thinking of putting a self returning button switch in a convenient place and wonder how to wire it up. My wiper...

    Dormobile bunk ladder

Have a search for marine rope ladders, cheap, about £20 and very light. Amazon do loads .You will just have to figure out the anchor point. Would do a link...but don’t know how to 🙄

    White knuckle driving

I have 185R14C with 40psi front and 45-50 rear depending on load. Don’t suffer from too much wandering . Previously inflated to about 5-10 psi less than this and was far worse. I don’t go faster than 55mph though, May not be to many people’s taste but I carry my spare on top, find it great and...

    Starter battery drain

No elec aerial Oz and I took of the hi tec alarm last year.No other modern bits that I know of. Battery charged up last night to 13.22 and left disconnected.Today 13.07 so that’s ok? No light showing so hopefully no drain. Connected battery so will see how it goes over next few days.Hoping it...

    Starter battery drain

So. Put a light on between -ve clamp and -ve battery post and there was quite a bright light. Pulled fuses out and eventually found pulling the fuse for the R Front headlight had an effect, the lamp lit less brightly and the Durite relay clicked.Put the fuse back in the light remained on but no...

    Starter battery drain

Thanks 62 and Ozzie I will try all the suggestions. I hadn’t gone down the route of pulling fuses as I accepted at face value what the garage and auto electrician man said ie. no drain. Will do now though.

    Starter battery drain

Hi 62 No problems with starting , starter motor works great. My problem is why is voltage dropping when connected yet holds when disconnected and ... drops voltage when no discernable parasitic drain. Surely a battery fully charged and healthy with 3 milliamps max drain should hold charge of...

    Starter battery drain

Hi 67 Will take out radio to see, but is 3 milliamps going to drain in such a short time? Grateful for your input .

    Starter battery drain

Apologies for lengthy post but here goes. Last summer my old starter battery was letting me down so bought a new platinum heavy duty 60ah.in nov 2019. After about 3 weeks this let me down , showing under 11v. Took it back to the factors and they confirmed 2 cells were duff and they replaced it...

    Topping-up oil

Hi I have one of the bottles like yours with the corrugated detachable spout. It leaked so sealed the spout on with silicone and use a small bit of cling film on spout Cap and lid which gives a good seal. No leaks now

    Oil temperature query

Hadn’t even thought of that. I’m pretty sure that I don’t. Have looked at a few threads following your helpful reply. Am I right that whilst not essential they are recommended? If I hunt for the bits is it a big, engine out job. Even with the (likely)missing bits I am surprised at the low temp...

    Oil temperature query

My 1600 single port recon engine has done about 6k miles. Just done oil change and fitted vdo oil temp gauge and sump sender. Went for a 60 mile drive today and the gauge only got up to about 55 deg C. Same on return journey. Only went 45-50 mph. Engine compartment not hot and side vents hardly...
