    Front badge location?

Hey guys, as a little thank you to the forum I have created a 1:1 scale drawing that you can stick to the front of your bus and use as a template if you are trying to fit a front badge but have no holes present. I have taken the measurements from the photo posted above, and checked it against my...

    1971 - YRY483J -Restoration

Also guys I posted in the technical section a question that some of you may have missed: Is it a viable option to replace with late bay genuine rear corners?

    1971 - YRY483J -Restoration

Cheers fellas, I'll pop in and see Graham later this week, I work literally 2 fields away! The rear clips look a good shout - I got my roof from the guys at FBIVW. Yes it is a converted panel van, there is rust all over to be honest but I'll just tackle it one step at a time. The belly pans are...

    1971 - YRY483J -Restoration

Ahhh stop stop stop! Let's all be positive! Every panel needs work, but the sides just need some repair, maybe a new front panel. This is definitely the worst of it, I think a lifetime of sea air hasn't helped it. Once the rear is replaced and the roof properly sorted out I don't see anything...

    1971 - YRY483J -Restoration

Roof Replacement OK guys I'm about to start work on my bus, I bought it with the pop-top removed and a LOT of rust all hidden by white-painted gaffa tape... I finally have time to focus on this now, and I already have a genuine roof cut waiting to go on. Initially I had hoped to simply remove...

    Genuine Rear Quarter Panel

Hey can you guys tell me the difference between the Genuine Late Bay Rear Quarter Panel as sold by the likes of Schofield, JK etc and the original early bay? Is it just the rear light holes and the vents being a squarer shape? I need to replace both of, and if this is the only difference then...

    Oil leak from barrels

I have just lay under it with the engine running and it is just flooding out, though I believe it may be down to the oil cooler as it looks like it is flowing all around cylinder no.3 and some of the rear tin ware as well. Revving the engine seems to flick the oil further instead of it dropping...

    Oil leak from barrels

Hey guys my engine has developed a fairly big oil leak, it appears to be originating from where the barrels meet the block, but only on the nearside. Can I tighten these up with the engine still in the vehicle by torqueing up the head bolts? Engine is a 1600 twinport.

Tyres / Stance Thread - Lets see what ya runnin!

My bus appears on page 4 also, via the PO! Perhaps it is 2 splines low at the rear, can anyone tell from sight? I haven't touched the ride height since buying it a couple of years ago, I have only increased the front height a little using bigger tyres to get it over the bumps...

Tyres / Stance Thread - Lets see what ya runnin!

175/60/R15 front, lowered on adjustable beam. 195/60/R15 rear dropped 1 spline. Just clears the speedbumps, very grown up!

    Engine support bar moustache type

Hey guys here are some photos to this issue, each photo has a comment describing the situation: https://plus.google.com/photos/114746994541856658936/albums/5873845297866435233 Can anyone shed some light on the situation here for me?

    Oh Sh!t - Ive lost a washer

A small screw fell off one of my kadrons and into the chamber - destroyed the head and piston in the space of 2 - 3 seconds max! Kept the piston as a nice paperweight. In my opinion, these engines are so easy to remove and strip, don't take any chances. Better to have it apart on your drive...

    Engine support bar moustache type

The engine code seems to be from a later bus (mine is a 71) so does this mean I need a different support bar or some kind of adapter?

    Engine support bar moustache type

Hey guys, my support bar has 3 different length spacers formed on it, yet the holes on my new (secondhand) engine all protrude the same amount, am I missing something? Should there be some packing spacers in place, or have I bought an engine from a different vehicle? Engine stamp says...
