Fumes- aftermarket air filter - breather solution?

Hi guys, my 1600 twinport has an aftermarket airfilter on and the breather pipe coming off the oil filler neck is just some garden hose venting down through the tinware. I am getting fumes through the heating - I have replaced the heat exchangers and piping and connections already, and have...

    fuel pump pushrod damage

I have contacted JK explaining my problem and asking if they have ever had any reports of faulty push rods and their reply was... "Good afternoon Phil, no, I'm sorry we haven't had any other reported problems with the Fuel Pump Push Rod, it might be worth looking at your Distributor Drive, as...

    fuel pump pushrod damage

It seems odd that a supplier cannot manufacture a hardened push rod that is up to the job, it's easy to put a new one in but I'm concerned it is something to do with the brass distributor drive gear on the crank, only just started my research into it though. i have checked the other components...

    fuel pump pushrod damage

Hi guys, I recently (approx. 2-3 months ago) replaced the fuel pump, pushrod and base with all new parts from JustKampers. Last night my Bay broke down, and I have taken the fuel pump off today to find that the end of the pushrod has been ground down, so the cam doesn't lift the pushrod past...

Oh right! I will check my ignition module, not had the bus long and all my experience so far is in minis...this could be embarrassing! I have a carb rebuild kit ready to do on the weekend, for £12.50 it's a no brainer. Cheers for your advice!

    bus won't idle

Yes pal, along with the black with from the electronic ignition. Coming off the negative side is the red wire. It runs fine but obviously I don't have the choke, I have taken the stepped adjuster off and flipped it round so it doesn't interfere but obviously I am going to need the choke with...

    bus won't idle

Hi guys, have just put a stock 34 pict carb back on my rebuilt 1600, it started and ran fine but wouldn't idle, it just died when i released the accelerator pedal. Then I realised there were no wires to the idle cut off and the choke, so I connected both up to the positive terminal on the...

Hey have you fitted this exhaust now? What is it like, are you pleased with it? Is it a decent quality, what sort of noise does it make? I have read through many exhaust posts but there isn't much information on this exhaust, but it's definitely one I would like to fit if I can find out more...
