Vanspace - has anyone here used it?

Hi all, Has anyone here used the Vanspace software for planning out your campervan? If so, what did you think if it? I purchased it the other night on a whim as I own a T2 early bay and a T5 and thought it mightbe fun to plan out their interiors. The advert videos seem pretty good, and the...

    3D printing...

So finally where cost is concerned, well how much do you have to spend? I got started with my Creality Ender 3 for about £175 and that was fine until I wanted more out of it. A Prusa will set you back £400 upwards of I recall but as I have mentioned, they just work. A Bambu will set you back...

    3D printing...

Part three... Resin printers. So resin basically equates to messier, smaller more detailed prints. These are likely to be too small for most things car related unless you're looking at decorative things such as gear knobs, badges etc. Resin basically involves exposing a layer of resin to UV...

    3D printing...

Ok 3d printing part 2 FDM printers. So you've got three common choices here 1. Creality - perfect entry point and the choice of the DIYer. Low cost and more accessories than you can shake a stick at. Will need an upgrade to earlier models to print exotic filaments. Newer K models are really...

    3D printing...

Ooh 3d printing, something I know a lot about and the thing I do know is that it's fun! So you've got two types to explore, FDM (adding layers of filament slowly to build up your print) and Resin (setting resin layer by layer until you have a complete print). FDM is perfect for printing things...

What's this then? Random lead and plug found in engine bay

So while dismantling my engine bay at the weekend and swearing at the numpty who had the van before me (Redbull can over the coil) I discovered a lead with a three point plug that disappeared around the back of the fan shroud. Not wanting to drop the engine to remove the fan shroud to see where...

    Front speakers.

It is possible to run both front left and right through that speaker, I just chose to go down the dual channel speaker route. Couldn't say what the quality would be like, a mono channel with dual inputs. You'd leave your rear channels free for some rear speakers then.

    Front speakers.

I'm replacing my center mount dash speaker for a Retrosounds dual voice dash speaker. Both channels in the original center mounting position then (Dash Speaker). Then I'm coupling them with these retro babies (surface mount pod speakers) but keeping them visible on top of the dash but they could...

Harry the microbus, a story in several parts....

Damn.... playing with BusSelecta and flipping between a '71 and a '72 and my photos and Harry is more '72! His vents and his filler cap are definitely '72, did nobody pay attention building my bus? Was he the legendary Friday afternoon special that they forgot about (for a year)? In other...

Harry the microbus, a story in several parts....

Hi Al! So this is Harry, according to my log book a '71 microbus deluxe, according to his little M-Plate a '72 microbus deluxe who had a planned production date of '71 and according to his official registration date a '76 microbus deluxe. Way to pull your finger out and build a car VW :LOL...

    Your interiors.

Damn, that's lovely @Wannabay, I really like the SJS interiors, shame about the limited choice of materials. Anyhoo, Is an interior an interior if it's not yet in the interior.... Panels, RnR cushions and seat covers from Delilahs, not sure if it's clear but it's off white with Orange...

Sold Microbus Deluxe Door Cards and Mid/Rear(3/4 slit) and Bench Seats

I hardly need to bump this but does anyone want these? Just the seats? A bit of good karma going here, practically free, hell free if you come and get them! I'm gonna be leaning on all sorts for advice as I rebuild the bus and my '69 Beetle was initially built from good old fashion trading and...

Hi from Harry the '71 Microbus Deluxe!

Hi from Harry the '71 Microbus Deluxe!

Cheers @fallingoffalot! Yeah it was factory, leaked like a sieve, got stuck more times than a sticky thing in a tight gap and the mechanism was quite good at breaking. The current thinking is: Replace the broken Paris Beetles rag roof that's hiding the old sunroof (I believe they do/did an...

Hi from Harry the '71 Microbus Deluxe!

You know I swear I replied to this earlier.... anyhoo, cheers @gas1man! I'm not a big fan of the pop tops, saying that if I can find a low profile donor I may well fit one. Harry's definitely not a fair weather bus, he'll be a daily once he's drivable and until my '69 beetle makes his way up...
