As mentioned on TLB you could use VW engine co, but even JK sell turnkey units now. I guess you dont want the ancilleries, but just the core to transfer your bits onto? Just curious Lee, what is wrong with your current engine?

These things go in cycles. Van prices will come down (as will all asset prices). But their numbers will reduce due to the issues you mention. Second hand parts will be become more available as more buses are scrapped. Eventually the T2a/b will be as rare and expensive as the Splitty.

Not sure about vans/buses, but I said a couple years ago once we get into 70's style inflation prices of used vehicles generally would drop like a brick. Along with houses and some other types of assets.
