    How to place wanted ad?

I think there should be a post new thread button for you in the sale/want forum now. Someone else was having a problem with that recently so maybe there's an issue at the moment? I think @johnny deals with subs.

    Non starter...???

If there's power to the (good) coil, working points/module (including the spinning magnet if using a module), centre HT lead is not damaged and properly connected, there should be a spark if you turn over the engine. It doesn't make sense to me otherwise. I would at this point suspect a broken...

    Cheapso torque

I’ve never seen an electronic torque wrench but I’m guessing they use Wheatstone bridges like most other force sensing equipment. Like my overworked bathroom scales

    Cheapso torque

We have tiny wrenches at work for aviation equipment boxes. They are calibrated every year, but saying that we pay 1000's to get all our scopes and signal generators, etc done very year too... if you ask me, its a bit of a racket :D

    Cheapso torque

I think I left mine set at 100ft/lbs  <rushes out to look in his toolbox....>

    Cheapso torque

A torque wrench isn't something I'd cheap-out on personally. The reason they exist is so that you know and trust that a fastener is tightened up to spec. I'm as tight as a northerner, but not on this.

    Small amount of restoration...

It made a difference to mine, going from 30 to 20W50, but I also changed out the gear oil at the same time so it could've been that.

1969 RHD Devon - I must be mad

What a bummer! I am not sure if the ignition switch has anything to do with the main lights, as they come on even when the ignition is off. I'd have to take a look at the wiring diagram though.

    Spark plugs & leads

I bought my dizzy and leads from powerspark (www.simonbbc.com). Good prices and haven't let me down yet.

Ethanol proof and ethanol resistant fuel hose

 If that's the condition of the exterior that doesn't even directly come into contact with the fuel, I wonder what the interior is like???... Actually, no I don't wanna know. I'm gonna just buy a Cohline kit.

    Monty the Red Campervan

Same in here, almost. 23c in Gloucestershire, and 2c now and snowing/hail/sleet/rain. They haven't salted the roads yet, even though we've had a couple weeks warning of the bad weather, they're probably still counting the beans to see if they can afford the unplanned salt expenditure

    Main beam

Bulbs may be installed 180 degrees out, or the sockets themselves have the wires switched, or the relay is the wrong type or miswired.

    Replacement fanbelt not 'flat'

Along with a clutch cable, accelerator cable, and a full workshop's worth of tools

    Replacement fanbelt not 'flat'

It sounds very weird and I don't think I could trust it. Extra noise means extra vibration and extra heat and that usually means extra wear and premature failure. Even if the belt doesn't fail, what's it doing to the alternator bearings?

    Monty the Red Campervan

Yes, the valance, not the beam. Good to hear your opinion, I was wondering whether I should use this box or try to 'keep it original'. I guess its one of those toss-ups between original or more safety and comfort. Late box it is then.

    Monty the Red Campervan

That was quick. I've just come back from a jaunt through the Cotswolds (only vehicle I have that can take a 3.3m load), and those fast down-hill hairpins can be a bit, er. hairy, when you've got a slack box. I do have a recon Late box in my spares ready to go on, but it does mean cutting into...

    Dormobile table

Great first post Onionmike, and welcome. Could you make a great second post, perhaps with a pic of those legs clipped to the wardrobe and the brackets under the table? Cheers.

    Classic car show Gloucestershire

This is great, and just down the road from me. I have no excuse not to go, although I am not sure that I want to 'enter' Alberta, she is a bit shy at the moment because she needs a respray.
