    Headlamp question

The bus was going to be used for touring the monkey enclosures at the Safari Park and you were hoping the leopard print would keep the critters from trying to steal your wing mirrors, aerial, and hub caps?

    Headlamp question

Haha Ozzie, I've got a nice spotlight on the front too, which isn't wired up. Previous owner put it on for looks (it does look nice), but didn't want to drill a hole in the NOS dash for the switch (can't blame him really). I'm gonna have to do it though, cos the headlights are not that great...

    Monty the Red Campervan

Fantastic photos. It's also a dream of mine to do that trip in Alberta (Alberta the bus, not Alberta in Canada 😁). Maybe next year.

    Putting steering wheel back on

Turn the big nut till it pops. Edit: ...and obviously make sure your driving wheels are straight ahead before fitting the wheel.

    insurance for bay

I used Hagerty's classic insurance. They just wanted 5 photos and they agreed to what I said it was worth. (About what I paid for it). TBH - if your insurance company agreed a value when you signed up, I would have though that that is part of the contract and they have no right to change the...

    New accidental early bay owner

That's looking a lot nicer than it did. Especially like the clear rear end now.

    Gearstick?

I suspect the welded pans exist mainly due to vehicles being bought direct by the camper conversion companies, and that bolted pans were what you’d get as an regular use vehicle (bus, combi, etc) if you ordered pans.

    Gearstick?

Is it? I thought they were welded... mine is welded at least on the sides, I didn't realise there might be bolts for the centre piece. Will take a look when I can get underneath it. This would make so many things so much easier 🤞

Some extra's found for sale. Updated.

You might wanna remove your postcode from the internet if you're keeping your bus there.

    What is best ?

What's an 'eriba'? Edit: Nevermind, I duck-duck-go'd it and found its some sort of caravan.

Instrument Cluster Lights Help (High beam and green parking lightl

That's odd then. When the hi beam relay turns on and it feeds both the hi beam and the dash lamp, so if the connector for the blue/white wire is still on the fuse for the hi beams (white wire) then the earth for the dash lamp behind the cluster may have disconnected. If this earth is shared with...

I assume you haven't had the dash cluster apart, but just the steering column?

    What is best ?

I like that idea, the only issue I see is if one is not using campsites with power that fridge will eat a gas bottle quite quickly and they are not cheap.

    What is best ?

I totally agree, don't buy the cheap crud, get a decent MPPT controller. You dont get much sun here anyway so you need to be as efficient as you can capturing it.

    What is best ?

I have a 100Ah leisure battery connected to, well not much at the moment, just some LED lights really. I am planning to add a small chest fridge (I have some in my amazon wish list I'm keeping an eye on, like the Alphacool range) in the place where the dormy had its cool box (long since gone)...

    Mystery Floor Holes

The ones in the centre (there should be two rows of them) you may see a tapped thread inside. These usually have black plastic screw-in plugs in them, IF your bus doesn't have bus seats fitted. They are for mounting seats or seat belts, I can't remember which. The smaller ones in front of the...
