Bit more progress yesterday evening, ground the weld back then popped some primer on it. With the weld ground down I could have a proper feel for any distortion and the general fit - theres a little bit of a high spot just next to and below the fuel filler flap but hopefully nothing a light tap...

Been a while since my last update as progress has been slow due to work commitments and hence lack of time spent working on the bus... plus a weekend out for Volksworld show and a week snowboarding in France! So.... back to the bus, not much to show but after removing all the trial-fitted side...

Great work! Ref the wheels... I'd have to say that although I'd never have thought it..... I just love the look of those porker spares..... they look kind of stock but with a high performance mean air about them  .... are you sure you can't get them to fit?

    J n J's 72 Bay Restro project.

Amazing how some of the panels have rotted out and yet others look untouched? That rear corner for example is dust but the tailgate looks like new... weird! Anyhow.... great to see another 72 crossover on the road to recovery. Best of luck and I will be looking out for updates with interest!

Got the middle side panel all trimmed to size and offered up into position at the weekend, along with the outside sill. Forgot my camera so only a blurred pic from the phone I'm afraid: Pretty happy with the fit and alignment of all the panels to each other etc so now have to remove...

    My 72 Danbury

Got the corner all trimmed to size and offered up last weekend: Still not welded anything yet though as want to get the middle side panel trial fitted first too. Spent a couple evenings this week cutting that down to size in preparation and also modifying it from LHD to RHD by cutting and...

Small update; Made a repair to the inner arch lip, only tacked it on for now as I need to be certain it is exactly in the right position before final welding: Then after lots of measuring and trimming (so that I could keep the original fuel filler flap correct for 72), I was ready to offer...

    My 72 Danbury

Managed to get a few hours in one evening this week and repaired the damage to the C post. As well as the obious dent/damage it also had been cut straight down the centre by the PO when the original outer arch was cut off and they had cut too deep... so not only had they covered up loads of...

    My 72 Danbury

Had the day off yesterday... it doesn't look a lot but it took nearly 5 hours just to make the following small repair - however considering it was below freezing in the barn it was a miracle that I could even walk let alone work considering all the layers I had on!!! Of course I had to allow...
