Thanks Dexter :) Well I've started the nearside rear corner, the Previous Owner/Repairers repairs looked ok originaly but as expected, and after lots of digging through filler, I didn't find anything that was worth leaving so chopped it all back out to the original metal to start it again...

I'll second this as these often get forgotten.... in fact most people don't even know they are there.... and on all 3 bays I've owned in the past these were cracked, split, leaking or even missing! :shock: I first discovered this potential safety issue the very first time I brimmed the tank...

Some great work going on here..... and coming together fast too! Especially related to your experience with the N/S B-Post bowing out of shape when you repaired the inner and outer parts..... mine did exactly the same when I repaired that part.... had me scratching my head for a while as to why...

Need a left hand side rear arch repair panel for my 72. I've seen Schofield's and Just Kampers panels at a recent show and to be honest both of them looked pretty poor with large ripples off each top corner of the flared arch????? Almost as if they just were'nt pressed properly? I mean.... how...

So, drilled off the corroded 'V' channel for the side track cover and then sandblasted the corrosion along the lower window channel of the rear quarter. Found it to be fairly pitted with just a few pin-holes..... so my dilema now is, do I cut a section out and replace it completely (as I do...

Well, the battery tray is in: As is the corner: It will need a very light skim of filler but just stuck some primer on it for now: So nice to finally have this side all back together...... for the first time I feel like I'm getting somewhere :) : Just need to seam seal the corner...

Nice work..... so glad you saved it! All gaps and panel joins etc look factory... and not a flip flop to be seen anywhere... lovely jubbly!
