So yesterday I had my Weber 48’s made a touch more civilised…
Went and saw my friend Paul Bate in Essex yesterday who used his special jig to drill 3rd progression holes, genuinely surprised how much of a difference it’s made. It was smooth (for Ida’s) anyway and now it’s more like my old IDF’s 😬
If memory serves, it should come down inside the front panel, run along next to the master cylinder under the floor then swing round towards the wheel.
For sale: New & unused scat 1.25:1 high ratio rocker shaft assembles, brought for a motor we were doing but ended up going with a cam that requires 1.4’s. Never used or even fitted to an engine.
£300
Post at cost or collection from Woodbridge, Suffolk
A fuel pump should be wired up with a relay, a prime button isn’t required though. Just turn ignition on for 3-4 secs before starting and that will fill the bowls.
They come with a big p clip to mount them, I install a nut-sert in the n/s/r chassis and bolt it to that
I’m a mere 5ft 8 and having small arch tubs in my bus has actually made the driving position more comfortable for me 😅😂
Tubbing is done in conjunction with a narrowed beam to allow full lock and suspension travel without interference. Lowering a bus far enough to warrant tubbing using a stock...
1 of the best shows there is, I love the road trip, quality of the cars, the vibe of the brewery meet and show. Only downer is the weather can be very hit & miss.
I won’t be going this year as I want to do EBI and a few other things
Had the carbs off: stripped, cleaned, float heights checked and new 40mm vents fitted. Engine has responded well and really likes to rev now, needs some slightly larger main jets to get the AFR where I want it but overall very happy with the changes
Had some nice billet 40mm venturis arrive from Eurocarb today. Will fit them in the new year and re jet it accordingly, should hopefully release some more rpm and bhp 😬
Either way it’s a load of **** 😂
Due to how high i Rev my 2276 too i check the valve clearances & rocker side play 4 times a year, excessive I know but I like to monitor things like that. plus I have the bug too. And I may use them on the engines of customers I really like also 😂
