    Inaccessible Battery Terminals?

Reaching in there with a 13mm spanner isn’t that hard 🤨 besides how often do you need to disconnect the battery

Well the bus hasn’t been out of the workshop since October and not started for a month lol so I finally got round to fitting the new CSP oil filler, modifying the breather box and giving the engine bay a well deserved clean. Changed it to AN-8 threaded fittings and added an extra port for the...

    1967 Neptune Blue Deluxe

This is the bar you want for ground clearance, it was an option on South African & Aussie built buses for extra clearance. Only issue is finding 1 and for sensible money 🫣 I got it cheap…. didn’t realise what I was buying and the chap didn’t realise what he was selling 🤣 some bloke crazed me...

Yup has a thread in 1 head. FI heads weren’t something i specifically wanted to use but we had a good set in stock so we went with them.

They are the heads which were fitted to late 70’s fuel injected beetle engines, work as a normal head would but have Smaller inlet valves, chambers & long reach spark plugs. Carbs still work as carbs lol

    Sump full of fuel (again)

While a cut off valve is a good idea you still need to find and sort the actual cause of the issue rather than just putting a bandage on the problem.

A mild 1776 should be 90-100 horsepower. I personally prefer a full weight flywheel on a bus motor, have 1 on my 2276.

My bus has some good company over winter… Steve Wragg (aka Egotrippin on here) has left his awesome patina’d 1970 kombi with me for a full engine rebuild/upgrade on his 2007cc stroker. Should leave with several more ponies once Hector & myself have had a play 😏

    Fuel in crank case.

Were the float heights set in the carbs?

Toying with the idea of a larger engine

Stock vw rods are 5.4” which will be fine for a 2007 as long as you’re not looking to turn lots of rpm.
