The pump needs tilting over a bit Old Bean, the optimum angle there supposed to sit at is 15 to 35 degrees,90 being vertical. Looks a nice installation 👍
Mine came with the white nylon tube, filter was a joke, got a decent one from my local spares shop. Up and running, imo, there a brilliant addition to your van .Is yours a genuine 2kw (60 mm dia outlet hose). Like many others i got a 5kw labelled as a 2kw, ( 75mm dia outlet hose).
Hiya, don't use the filter you get with the kit, they fall apart easily, the green ,soft fuel line isn't brilliant either, get the hard, white nylon type, far superior and doesn't 'pulse'. I would use better quality rubber hose for the joints too.
Get yourself a Maypole breathable cover, and as has been said, thorough cavity & underside rust prevention. I found the Bilt Hamper products very good and easier to apply than most other stuff I've used.
Keep fuel tank full, plenty of additives out there to keep fuel fresh.

Bag of frozen stir fry is handy, boil in a bag type rice, tinned spuds or Oz's speciality, Idahoan, like Smash only better. Stuff to do a full English or two. Stash of potted noodles can be a life saver, especially when you get back to your van pissed and starving!.
