    That seems odd when you consider the age of the vehicle. :? My bus is a UK '68 and the stamp in the engine bay must have disintegrated a while ago! :shock: It has new panels in its place now.

    Alternator

    On the pulley end, there should be a notch you put a flat head screwdriver in which rests against the alternator and locks the pulley wheel to stop it moving and allow you to release the nut. Unless I have misunderstood you. :character0036:

    I remember reading a while ago that MK2 Golf headlights could be modified to fit and took the more modern H4 bulb. Does anyone know more details? :Poke:
