Same as mine, stock 091 ratios. The internals of mine are all heavy duty weddle versions.

Took the bus & bug to the beetle juiced show in Ipswich on Sunday , I won’t be going again… £15 each to get in, took 1 photo and had an overpriced and under cooked hotdog. Marvellous!

Yep, a fully built 091 box with all weddle internal and a limited slip diff courtesy of the gearbox master Pete Engleloz @ cogbox 😎 I’ll drag the missus along next time and get her to video it 😂 No kids or grand kids here! 🪓 if you get my drift…. 😂

You childish nobhead! When we do dopey stuff like that, why do we feel the need to turn the steering wheel for a little wiggle in the middle of it. Bet you can’t do it dead straight . I didn’t turn the wheels, that was where the back end started to pull round so I let go of line lock and...

    Pulley advice

That’s ok, from your description and pics it. looks like youve got what they call a sand seal pulley which was designed for desert cars to prevent sand getting pulled into the engine via that oil screw on the standard style pulley (all part of the crank case ventilation system) the case is...

    What Oil ? ? ?

Once you go through the misery and expense of a full rebuild due to ****** lifters and a flat cam you’ll appreciate why you should use a suitable oil with the required levels of ZPPD (zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate) which flat tappet cams require to prevent accelerated wear.

Went to bugjam yesterday, was there 24 hrs and came home again. Mostly because the weather was shocking but considering it was £135 per ticket the show itself was pretty lame so after many years of going bugjam I doubt I’ll be attending again. However I did run a 16.20 @ 84mph without the...

    Quick release Oil line fittings

I wouldn’t trust them. I’d rather spend 5 minutes with a spanner than risk having those pop off and trash an engine.

    Engine noise

Calm down people, it’s only straight cut cam gears

    Engine noise

They don’t really make much difference when on power, they are to reduce thrust load on the camshaft bearings which is a side effect of using heavier dual valve springs. Love the sound of mine 😬😆

Make sure you get the correct split bus idler arm rather than a bay 1 so you get full L/H lock.
