    Ben's 72 Bay

For clarity..after the two hoses docked I could guide it the last few feet all way through to the back …. then tape on new loom and guide it through from back to front carefully using the push pull technique using the garden hose as the guide. Hope that makes sense 🌈👍

    Ben's 72 Bay

If it helps I threaded my loom through the chassis as original. I initially taped the new one to the end of original in order to pull it through from the back. Mistake no.1 !! Got stuck going over front beam. Took ages trying to get it through and pretty much gave up. So had a brain wave and...

    1970 Dormobile

For my input … anywhere i’ve worked in metal i’ve always.. taken as much rust away as possible (flap wheel or wire brush in drill) copious amounts of rust treatment. Then a rub down and etch primer for few coats … then colour top side / black stone chip underneath. Everything i’ve done that way...

    How obsessed ?

Couldn’t be anything over a 5 as I would never get it finished !! Have to accept a level of unfinished or not up to scratch. Biggest unknown is bodywork. When my wallet is as big as the kahunas required …i’ll get it acid dipped and deal with the rot. Until then i’ll happily bury my head in the...

    Dormobile folks and pop tops.

I painted mine white with a flexible paint. Came out like a silk finish. Used a sponge roller. Did it before fitting new canvas. Still looks ok now. 🌈👍

    Anyone identify this?

I know this !!!! It’s you’re Dormobile roof up switch flasher. It’s bi metal contact that controls the warning light on your dash. Let me know if you need wiring diagram as I have just refitted mine 🌈👍

Belly Pans - Are They Necessary?

So may seem silly question but when you refit are you fully welding them back in ??

Any favourite sites on Anglesey or North West Coast of Wales?

Mynedd Mawr just above Aberdaron on Llyn Peninsular. Haven’t been for couple years but great little campsite - as near to wild camping as you can get with great facilities. Very quiet but pretty area. 🌈👍

    1970 Dormobile

I feel your pain. I removed mine to get to the chassis only to find lots of rot !!! All sorted now though. I believe Dormobile welded them in to add strength as the roof aperture is so big. Good luck 🌈👍
