Just a thought. Rather than go to all that trouble and as you said yourself, concentrate any damage to a particular point, how about making a mould and mak8ng some out of fibreglass or even expanding foam, you could make their little bottoms a quarter inch higher that the bumper lower edge. But...

Brilliant motors them Murky sprinters. They can take the start stop routine that we dish out as supermarkets delivery vans. And they do not get an easy life. I only do a few days a week now though. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,usually a good laff :)

I’m pretty sure you’ve nailed it with the two rescue companies mentioned as in they wouldn’t have too much of an idea in general but there may indeed be someone in those companies that knows T2s. I don’t know of anyone that inspects along these lines. However there may be a member or two on here...
