    M4 closure.

Just a reminder for our Earlybay Gang Stars. It’s this weekend that the M4 is shut between junctions 18 and 19 until Monday morning. Don’t come near if you can help it. I would imagine the tailbacks will cause holdups on the M4 and M5 for the entire weekend, guess who now has to go to Swindon...

Absolutely spot on bud. Everyone has stuff they’re fine with and stuff that for whatever reason eludes some of us. I know I’m not on my own with this electrics phobia and there’s one or two others on here that could hold their own along with me in the electrical incompetent’s Olympics. Gaz is...

That is one of many of my frequently used ‘Go Tooos’ especially when it concerns wiring. Haven’t had any dash lights for nearly two years, been try to fix my horn to work on the horn push for at least three years longer than that ^^^, but I do have a switch under the dash . I’ve only just put a...

Or,,,,,, I have a removable ceiling / roof liner over my cab area that I should be able to run a cable or two down the A pillar then earth where my pop top mechanisms are. Cables can come out under the pop top fabric right in the middle at the top of the roof apex then a little loop and up and...

Came across these the other day and I was just gonna leave them in my garage as ornaments. Then it dawned on me that it’s the colour scheme of all colour schemes to match my van. So the plan is to shorten the roof rack then fit them to the roof rack. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, But wiring them up ? :)

Hi there Unslow, and that certainly is a very very clean engine bay. Looks early with no firewall. Don’t be shy splashing pictures about on here of your bus. A real big welcome to you too Ozziedog,,,.,,,,,,I think that’s what Wiggy ^^^ was hinting at :)

    CB Radio

Yes we did and we learned a thing or two about these new CBS. Apparently they’ll work even bettererer if you have your antenna upright instead of leaving it bashed over by the back lane tree gang. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,, Trimmed them trees down a bit. :)

My 68 Westy - as time goes by .....

I d just wave back at them, I’d also tell them later, “Everybody Waves At Me” . If they ever pull in front of me to pull me over, well we’ll just have to cross that bridge when we get there. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, hope they ain’t that crazzzeee :)

My 68 Westy - as time goes by .....

A week or so back, I suddenly thought ‘These Brakes Ain’t Good’ as it dawned on me that I was hanging back etc as I pulled up behind traffic at lights and things. So I got to a bit of clear road in front and behind and got up to about forty and slammed the brakes on. The response wasnt great, so...

    Get together

Great idea bud. Maybe click in with the Wolfsburg clan as they still do a couple of weekends at that very same venue In Banbury. These dates look good for me and I think the bestest thing first off is to brainstorm and check out any and all ideas if indeed any pop up. There’s also two weekends...

Anyone remember these ? Three ring squareish lights, two have clear glass and one has ribbed. A wing ariel still unopened and a pair of Ring Phazar halogen spotlights complete with brackets. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,not for sale though. :)

Clever camping solutions for double cab?

Have a look at how much extra length you would gain from having the tailgate down. Ask the person that’s making up your canvas, if they could incorporate something like the Amascador. Possibly use it while on camping trips then reverse it when using as a crew cab with truck and have the extra...

    M4 closure.

This will put a proper strain not only on the M4 but also the M5 for quite a few junctions both North and South of the M4 M5 junction. Your only real option will be to leave the M5 at Taunton or Bridgewater and head for Glastonbury, Wells, then Frome, Trowbridge, and hit the M4 again at...

    New member with a fixer-upper

Hiya Dave, big welcome to you. Maybe start construction of a wish list for the parts you know you’re missing. There’ll be lots of little bits too, like catches and springs and unusual fixings etc . Luckily we have a man on here with more search facilities than Doctor Livingston and he can...

    Greetings from New Mexico USA

Nice of you to join in. That’s a great looking van for sure. The engine and tranny used to be simple as can be for me but the years are gradually catching me up and I’m glasses on and glasses off every thirty seconds. Looks like I’ve had a tattoo from my right eye socket and up, just about every...

Clever camping solutions for double cab?

I’m thinking of maybe a combination of a tent and that Dutch rear tent gadget (Amascador) ? then gaining extra length with the rear tailgate down. Possibly hoops and tarp then extending down to the rear tailgate, that should give you the best part of two metres or so. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, Where’s...
