As Clem says above, you just don’t want any powder coat in between the wheel rim and the nuts holding it down. They tend to get a bit warm there under braking and the powder coat gets soft then all of a sudden, your tight wheels nuts ain’t tight any more :eek:As he’s said above ^^^ check for...
We’re off to Weston tomorrow for a day on the beach with a crew that are fairly local but we haven’t really had much contact with. It’s Clubs Unite At The Beach, so we’ll pop down and join in and have fish and chips at the seaside, what’s not to like. So far, the only organisation from our part...
I’m sure I’ve seen these, they do various versions that look like fish ponds liners in fibreglass. But I’m kicking 70 soon and I’d hate to upset the damp course under my garage. What’s the chances of it not being a tad brittle after being down for fifty plus years. I’ll wimp out I think...
i may indeed be wrong but I don’t think that is an original wheel hub cap, you can usually notice the difference in how light they are. Sounds like stainless is possibly the way forward and half moons and baby moons all look great. I’ve got plastic ones on mine now and you don’t have to polish...
Mate, I start something then I forget what I’m doing then I remember what I’m doing so I go to find my glasses which is probably why I stopped trying to do whatever it was that I was trying to do , then eventually I find some glasses after chatting to the neighbours and talking to their dog...
As Dav says ^^^ sounds like something ain’t running true or pad wear. Can you hear anything when you spin the front wheels ? And have a real good look at your tyres too.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, How old are these tyres :)
Or maybe go one bettererer and ask them to pop up a link to early bay lights or just pop a list on here. Maybe headlight variants too !
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, most of us would be up for it I guess. :)
Always worth a try just in case someone has bought one but isn’t gonna use it. I haven’t put mine on yet but that is completely down to total and utter incompetence :)
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,it’s lost in my garage somewhere lol :)
Sorry Stuart’s: but I think this has been and gone unless you’re thinking about another group buy yourself.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,might’ve missed it bud . :)
That sounds great. I wouldn’t move house for the world , it’s only little but I have a fab garage. That’s the one thing is I’ve got an exceptionally high water table so it makes a pit next to impossible but I would love one or a hoist but my roof is too low.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,not jealous one...
Tin tops are the best because of the large tin roof providing the ground plane. As soon as you get into poptops you start to lose efficiency. I’m guessing the best you could get with a poptop is to mount two Ariel’s, one on each side or one front and back or even one on each mirror and then co...
Good plan. I’m pretty sure most vans on here could do with a little lighting upgrade, I know mine could do with it front and back.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,any other good ones guys ?
I’ve got a VSWR meter now and I’ve tried it once but only on a set that had blown its outputs because they’d been trying to use it without a decent antenna on so I couldn’t get any readings of any sort but it did show me the patch lead needs tidying up, probably not been used for a decade or...
Hi gang, I’m in need of a courier for beer tokens. Issue is, I’ve bought a brand new Waeco fridge from a guy in Bexley Kent that can’t help much as he’s developed serious spinal issues and is selling off parts of his projects etc etc. I’m trying to tie up with anybody that has room for this...
Whenever I do that double post trick, I just delete and edit it after peeps have commented on it then make up some random load of nonsense to make it look that I’d done it on purpose.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,usually makes no sense at all :) :)
