    Free Buddy Seat

We're about 20 minutes from Haywards Heath in West Sussex if that helps....if desperate we could possibly get it to Medway with enough notice. Someone is interested but can't get here for some time & I just cannot store it indefinitely. It will go to the tip if not gone in a couple of weeks...

    Free Buddy Seat

Evening I would like to give away a buddy seat that came with our T2. The owners before us removed it as they didn't need it & we've installed a flip up buddy seat instead as that suited us better. Probably fits any make of van with a bit of persuasion. So...this one is available FREE...

69 Deluxe, who owns it now ?

You could check the MOT online & it will tell you when it was last done. If you have the V5C number then you can see the MOT location...that may help? https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ I used this a lot to check out history of the vans we were looking at. Not many made it further after...

    Favourite film.

:fighting0040: Star Wars (best film of all time, ever, in any part of the galaxy), Dark Star (70's low budget classic),The Matrix, Silent Running, Soylent Green & er... Bad Mom's Christmas. It's very funny. Honest. Mr Dark Star can recite most of Heartbreak Ridge.:shadey:

    Dormobile bunk ladder

Reasonably vertically challenged when married to someone who insists on bunging stuff right at the back of a cupboard on the top shelves.... 5'2" on a good day. Feels like 4'2" most of the time due to ever growing mini Dark Star. Regards photos... I do all the photographing in this house. If I...

    Dormobile bunk ladder

Sorted it. Rope ladder would have been too wobbly though I did look at those a while ago...& yacht ladders etc. Acquired small folding step ladder from Amazon with 3 or 4 treads. Folds up small & earns its keep as bunk access/roof rack access/perch/ step up into van for really short people plus...

    Dormobile bunk ladder

There’s an idea! Our bed isn’t much higher when flipped from bench to bed.....Mr Dark Star is already muttering about the number of cushions in the van so building a tower out of them won’t be practical either.... :D

    Dormobile bunk ladder

Thanks. There still seems a heck of a gap though between standing on the bench seat & hoisting yourself on to the bunk as I could not do it. Perhaps I'll get a cattle prod...might have the desired effect! Perhaps our seat is rather low....

    Dormobile bunk ladder

Afternoon all We’ve had the bunks reinstated in the dormobile & wonder how people get on up to them....standing on the bench seat still requires a bit of agility...Can anyone recommend a ladder please? Otherwise Dark Star Jr will have to learn to levitate! There seems to be all sorts of...

Canvas replacement on 1971 Dormobile pop top

I've just bought a new dormobile "canvas" (plastic) from Proud To Pop for our 1970 T2. They're up in Newcastle. Dormobile do a canvas version but we thought that would cause issues if put away wet without time to dry off. We don't have a garage... Getting it fitted by people local to us doing...

New to EarlyBay ? Say Hi here ...

Hi, I have a 1970 early bay T2 dormobile. Acquired this year & due to lock down have been unable to camp anywhere except outside the house.... It's in reasonable nick but like all of them could do with a little TLC here & there. Perfectly usable though & looking forward to going somewhere in...
